NFT projects may run in waves.
The sports industry has become no stranger to the NFT craze, however the NBA TOP SHOT project that was released in March of last year, experienced a low in June, when people started losing faith in the project and even NFTs. However, recently the project appears to be hot again because Kevin Durant has partnered with NBA Top Shot and launched a new TV and social media ad campaign and is offering first-time buyers of the Top Shot NFT a free KD NFT “moment”.
For Kevin Durant, this is just his latest project in a string of cryptocurrency investments and promotions; Durant who is also an investor of Coinbase, also signed on to be the platform’s ambassador. Interestingly, the NBA recently also announced Coinbase to be the NBA’s official cryptocurrency exchange.
