Jim Carey’s second NFT titled “Goon In Moonlight” was dropped last week via SuperRare auction and has a current bid of 29ETH (about $55, 000USD).
For years, Jim Carrey has been actively involved in NFTs; Carrey’s first NFT “Sunshower” was released in June and sold for an astonishing price of 62.04ETH.
Carrey’s NFTs seem to fuse art and technology; there’s also a poetic and deeper meaning behind the artwork as explained by Carrey himself:
“In the unavoidable romance of moonlight, the Goon is doomed to recoil from memories of lost loves and the agony of regret that can transform any one of us into something loathsome in our own mind”.
“Goon in Moonlight” also features the voice of Carrey’s daughter Jane. Part proceeds from the sale of Carrey’s multimedia artwork will also be donated to World’s Central Kitchen, a charity focused on helping victims of natural disasters.
