Axie Infinity, a game created by Vietnamese game development company Sky Mavis, is a P2E game where gamers can buy NFT characters and battle it out with others to earn points. According to a recent report by NonFungible, Axie Infinity’s NFT transaction volume in 2021 reached as high as 3.5 billion USD, beating NBA Top Shot by 4x, and holds the number one spot.
Players in the game can collect various Axie monsters and fight against other players. Each Axie is an NFT on the Ethereum blockchain; players can also obtain SLP (Smooth Love Potions) by performing daily tasks. SLP’s can then be sold on cryptocurrency exchanges allowing players to earn real money. The game has been real popular around the world but especially amongst S.E Asian countries, where earning SLP can actually help players earn more than their average salary.
