Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks and an avid crypto investor (with a net worth of $4.7 billion), recently revealed his thoughts on purchasing digital land. In a recent Youtube interview, Cuban outright said that he is not a fan of digital land and thinks that it’s pretty dumb to spend money on “real estate” in the metaverse. Cuban expressed that digital land assets have no investment value as there are unlimited volumes that can be created.
Though Mark Cuban is an investor of Yuga Labs (the company behind BAYC) he doesn’t seem to hold anything back when criticizing the sale of land, despite his own company has recently launched the Otherdeeds metaverse land sale that raked in hundreds of millions of dollars in a matter of days.
So, what’s your POV on digital land?
