Bulgari has launched the world’s thinnest watch, with a thickness of only 1.8 mm, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the now-iconic Octo collection. The ultra limited collection with only 10 pieces in the world has a staggering price tag of 400,000 Euros. The watch itself is also making history by becoming the first watch to incorporate exclusive NFT artwork; each watch features a QR code on the barrel’s ratchet wheel which links to the NFT. The NFTs will be minted on the Polygon blockchain.
Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin says that, “this fabulous benchmark that we are setting today with the Octo Finissimo Ultra is in fact for me and for all the teams an apparently impossible dream come true”. The Octo Finnisimo Ultra will be the last of its World Record series and marks the brand’s entry into the world of NFTs.
