Starbucks recently announced its latest Web3 plans for September!
Starbucks had previously intended to enter the metaverse world, however, its original plan did not seem to have been adopted. Instead, Starbucks has now come up with an idea to combine the advantages of NFT technology and their current points-based promotions. This decision will allow customers to experience the Web3 world without being deprived of the benefit to use their existing points to exchange for free coffee.
Starbucks has always been considered one of the pioneers of the virtual wallet. In order to foster consumer loyalty toward the brand, Starbucks launched its mobile virtual wallet years ago, which allows customers to top up, buy coffee, and collect points.
Starbucks’ new Web3 plans will not only strengthen existing point-based rewards but create additional benefits for coffee lovers in a new metaverse community.
