BRINGING THE FRESHNESS BACK TO YOUR NFT COLLECTION is the motto written on the “Rainbow Rolls” NFT project website. Created byJoshua Lapidus who is a software developer from Dallas, Texas, Rainbow Rolls is a collection of 1000 toilet paper NFTs. The project is set out to donate the majority of funds raised to charity. Lapidus says that “we were making jokes about how bad the [NFT] landscape was, with people selling anything to make money, [so] we thought we should have people buy our thing and give some to charity.”
Released last October, Rainbow Rolls has helped settle medical debt for low-income families by donating to RIP Medical Debt. The project also recently announced that they will be donating funds to support organizations such as UkraineDAO and Unchainfund, which are providing assistance to Ukrainian refugees and those affected by the war.
